The following is a list of some (but not all) foods, herbs and essential oils that can be safely used by most people if they feel a cold/flu coming on.
There are 4 primary types of "infections": Virus, bacteria, yeast/fungus, or parasite.
Many of these natural antibiotics (anti-BACTERIALS) have overlapping properties to combat other types of infections, as well. It is important to note that different types of infections respond better to some foods/herbs/ plants than others. The yellow highlighted products are specific names (links) of products which are available through my online store.
*If you are trying some natural options on your own to no avail, then I highly recommend making an appointment so that we can dig deeper and get you on the right plan. It doesn't mean that natural medicine doesn't work, it means you need the help of a professional who knows how to effectively assess what's going on and customize a plan for YOU.
Raw garlic - cook with it or swallow small, raw pieces of garlic cloves like a pill (on full stomach) up to 3 large cloves/day; Can also help with virus, fungus & parasites!
Raw apple cider vinegar - try my "flu shot" or detox lemonade
Manuka (or other RAW) honey - try my Ginger-Lemon Immune-Tea or crush a garlic clove & mix it with raw honey for colds/flu
Ginger root or fresh pressed ginger juice - try my Ginger-Lemon Immune-Tea; or mix fresh pressed ginger juice with sparkling mineral water and stevia/monkfruit, to taste. Medicinal ginger soda.
Oil of Oregano - very hot; not for young children; not the same as oregano essential oil; capsule or liquid; Can also help with virus, fungus & parasites!
High Potency Garlic - Powerful! Contains: Garlic bulb, broccoli flowers, turmeric root, red beet root, rosemary leaves, carrot root, tomato fruit, cabbage leaves, orange and grapefruit bioflavonoid extracts, and hesperidin.
Silver Shield - A patented Silver Sol product (different, more effective & safer than colloidal silver); safe for all ages, even infants. Take on empty stomach; can use orally or a few drops in the eyes & ears, as well (ie: pink eye, ear infection, etc).
Olive Leaf Extract - Powerful antibiotic, anti-viral & anti-fungal. One of my favorites!
Goldenseal - great antibiotic and liver/kidney detox; great for Urinary Tract Infections; do not use Goldenseal if pregnant/nursing
Ultimate Echinacae or Echinacea/Goldenseal
Pau d’ arco - best for virus/fungus; I carry this in bulk tea, capsules or extract form. Keep it on hand for use in my Ginger-Lemon Immune-Tea.
Capsicum (cayenne pepper) - also great for energy, ulcers & circulation!
Turmeric Curcumin - also great for pain, inflammation, virus, fungus, etc.
Essential oils: Essential Shield blend, Inspire blend, Tea Tree, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Clove, Oregano, Peppermint, Frankincense, Myrrh, Thyme, Eucalyptus ... and others!
*Be sure to use a carrier oil with hot/spicy oils (applied topically) and do not ingest essential oils unless you know you're using a 100% pure product that is safe for ingestion (not all oils are) and are trained in how to properly use/apply them.
